In Tandem Art Show: Matt Brown and Laura Goodman

In Tandem is now on view at Black Iris Gallery (321 West Broad St., RVA), featuring Laura Goodman and Matt Brown.

If you missed First Friday, you still have a great chance to experience the show in person: both artists will be on site on December 14th to meet guests, talk through the work, and answer questions.

Laura Goodman’s paintings lean into bold, joyful color and an intentionally open-ended storytelling approach—she wants viewers to find their own meaning in each piece. Matt Brown’s work is shaped by a lifelong creative practice and begins with visual discoveries from his walks and explorations—light, details, and vintage objects captured through photography and reinterpreted on canvas.
